S T A T E M E N T

Art has always been a part of my life. I have enjoyed playing with opposites; tight repetitive patterns to representational imagery, loose wet-into-wet application to highly rendered geometric shapes. Pattern, color, abstract
shapes and recognizable images all seem to enter my work.

For me, putting down large washes of very bright color transitions or drawing small intricate patterns are done very subconsciously. The more the thought, the more the art suffers. In the end hopefully the artist and the viewer will arrive at the same place.
