My little yellow parakeet died last night. She had been sick for awhile...poor little thing. One day she was fine the next day she was at the bottom of the cage and couldn't keep her balance. (stroke I think?) Anyway, I moved her water and food down to the bottom of the cage, and that helped...but I knew she wasn't going to do well.
Carrie our Parrot that lives in the cage next door to T-Birds is all bummed her buddy isn't there to scream at any longer.
Our 17 year cat ((Monkey)) isn't doing that great either wah! Just old age...and she's lived a good long life with us, but you know---it's very heart wrenching. I won't take her to the vets though, I just can't have them poking at her you know? She's just old, still seems happy and still gets around ok, but I can tell she's prolly not going to make it too much longer. :(
Oh well, on to happier things...
I have the next two days off from work! I took these day to get some time to paint since I have to have SOMETHING ready for the Coffee Works art show next month...or should I say in 7 days?? Augh!
Some progress...

So I'd better go,
Take care all
Bye Birdie Bird
Lo**

And keep lovin' on Monkey; it seems to keep them going...
Posted by: dan on January 24, 2005 04:10 PMPoor pretty T-bird :( How is monkey?
Enjoy your days off! I'm already inlove with this painting Lo =) I dig those rick-rack shapes!
Posted by: erikie parikie on January 24, 2005 04:15 PMSorry to hear the news miss lolo. Aging pets are a tough one. Thinking about you.

Oh...poor T-bird. So sorry you lost her, Lo. Bless her little heart. Birds are so delicate. My mom had a little grey bird called "Mo Mo"...who had a head of hair just like Mo from the Three Stooges. What an adorable thing. We still miss him.
Posted by: LindaO on January 24, 2005 05:38 PMT-bird went to birdie heaven to be with my moms little bird B.B. who just left a couple of days ago. Sorry for your loss.
I like you color transition on the new painting, pretty!
Hope you feel better soon!
Hi Lo, how are you? I'm sorry to read about your bird. You know....we had a few of those little guys once...and they didn't seem to last long. (that prolly doesn't help any huh)
well....more importantly, your parakeet had a good home, and you took care of her.
anyway....I hope your having a nice few days off. Your painting is coming along swimmingly. (new adjective) ;) I love how you've contrasted the color of the painting against the white aspects of the piece....oh....your not leaving those white...ummmmm....nevermind.

Jif, Ya little T-birdie is gone :( Do you have any other animals besides your kitty? I saw some English Budgies at the bird shop when I was there the last time. They were so cool looking. They are like a parakeet but are a little larger and have bigger heads. That sounds kind ugly, but they were neat looking.
Dan & Erikie,
Monkey cat is hanging in there. It will be a sad day when she's not hogging the bed. :(
Hi Valerie, Geez...I know YOU are experiencing the aging animal delima too...how's that going?
Linda O, Mo Mo what a cute bird name.
Sheila, Sorry to hear about your Moms BB bird :(Thanks for the comment on my painting) I stopped on it and started a few smaller ones today 5 of them to be exact!
Hi stinky man, Thanks about the pep talk about birds not lasting very long lol! :P~ You're so sensitive! (jk) Hey! what about my Carrie? She's turning 25 years old this September...thats nothing to sneeze over,or to sneeze on, or something?
Posted by: Lo** on January 24, 2005 08:58 PMSorry to hear about all your loved ones. I will keep you in my thoughts. Killed me when my baby left us too.
Posted by: Ladybug on January 25, 2005 11:51 AMOh, no! I am so sorry. Pets are such big parts of our lives. I used to have birds a long time ago and cried like a baby when they left. I sorry Monkey is not feeling well...you know he found the jackpot at your house--more love than he could swipe a claw at I'm sure. (((hugs)))
