Hi Everyone!
Well I took my three mini paintings over this afternoon to the
Here are a few pics of the Chamber Gallery inside...when you first walk in, you'll see half of my art is on the right...(the other half on the left--you can't see it in this picture though) then on the other side of the doorway is Kiny's McCarricks work...wrapping around the back wall are a few of Kerry Bearys paintings.

Through that doorway is another room with more of Kiny's work, as well as a comfy couch and a TV.

I love this picture below... it's of Jamio (one of the gallery owners) looking through the peep hole in the door ummm...not sure he should let his wife (Rae) in? Jamio, I'd let her in ;) and the three pieces of art on that wall are by Christy Savage. As you can see from this picture too, the ceiling is low...(I get claustrophobic easy) but once I was inside, it was actually quite cozy. It's a very nice space. ((Kudos Jamio & Rae!))

Here's Kiny McCarricks work (some of it) on the right...and Kerry Beary's art on the left.

another shot of Christy Savage's work...

Then "Yours Truly" stuff...

and the opposite wall...

They look nice huh? I was very happy. I hope the show gets a good turn out tonight. The weather is yuk though...but they are trying...they set up a little awning out front in case people hang out outside.
I tried to log into the LIVE Web Cast of the Fashion Show part of this show, at 3pm...but it never popped up. Maybe the bad weather had something to do with it...Well, anyway....thats it from rainy Sacramento. I will take more pics tonight hopefully. Have a great Saturday night everyone :)

Wow! that is a great website they have - and, it looks like the archive of the webcast will be up sometime tomorrow. So we can all wander over and take a sneaky peek a day late (and a dollar short).
Best wishes for a profitable show, Lori!

Hi Lo, Good to see your work at the show! It looks really nice! After seeing the Chamber's website.....I guess I was expecting it to look different. (I was picturing the inside of a spooky dungeon chamber) (no offence Jamio and Rae!) (I mean spooky dungeon chamber in a very aesthetically pleasing way)
I hope your work does well, and the other artists too! Ya......I tried the webcast too..... :( I hope the gallery got a good turn out. K.....tell us everything soon.

Posted by: dan on January 8, 2005 10:50 PMAre you planning on adding your "mini's" to you card gallery?
Posted by: a frequent reader and fan on January 9, 2005 12:58 AMHi, Lo! Love your gallery artwork! Nice to see your mini paintings in the flesh. Boy are they delightfully mini; much tinier than I had imagined. They are lovely.
I didn't get to see you, but I did make it to the show around 3:45. I took a few pics and unfortunately ran out of battery power and then I mistakenly deleted some photos I took of the gallery filled to the gills with people. Luckily one image survived of your artwork along side Jamio. (See my blog) BTW...I spoke with Jamio, he's a very nice guy as well as his wife.
The fashion show was lots of fun; it started fashionable late (pun intended) A lot of gals wore laced-up corsets the show was a fusion of eclectic clothing styles. I think it lasted for 45 minutes or so. I stayed until after 5:00 (I think)
Hope you had fun and did well. Oh yeah, thanks for stopping by my blog. ;0)
Posted by: liljiffy on January 9, 2005 01:07 AMLooks great Lolo! Your stuff is so wonderful and someday I'll have some.
I sent you an e-mail inquiring about the price of the last rose painting available on your web site, Orange Rose. I guess you didn't get the e-mail so maybe i have an old addie? Anyway, wondering about the price of that painting.
Thanks! Could you send me the info?
Lolo, Looks beautifull int here. such nice slean walls. wonderfull for your paintigs full of life and color. WOW. those minis are GREAT. send me info. ;)
What a treat to sell even before you show. Congrats. I'm in the midst of posting my 30faces Project. Some of the sketches may end up as paintings somewhere along the line.
Posted by: O on January 9, 2005 12:08 PMHi Barb,
I think the Live Webcam thing is a bust. I mean, there were problems with it. So I don't think there will be an archive to view today :( I know...darn, I missed it all too.
Hi Joe,
I know the "The Chamber" makes you think of a spooky place all dark with water trickling down the walls and bats lurking in all the corners of the room. eghhhh ick! ((Running away screaming, flailing arms wilding )))
Thanks Dan!
Frequent Fan,
No, I prolly won't add the minis to my card gallery. (BTW: I like that "My Card Gallery" ty!) oh shoots...maybe I will? I guess it just depends on how they look printed out? So maybe?
LilJif!
Shoots I'm upset we missed you at the show yesterday. I'm also upset I didn't get to see the fashions. I took some pics of some of the ones they had on the mannequins. I'll show them in a bit. I'm glad you liked my art...and really? You were surprised with the size? Well, thats cool. Hey! I just saw you did a blog entry at your place about my show THANK YOU!!
Hi Sheila! Yes that painting is home here with me in my studio right now. I will email you today :)
Hi LadyBug...I just emailed you. Finally. ((sorry)) Kinda behind on things...I still haven't even taken our Christmas tree down yet!
Hi "O" I need to take some time and visit your blog longer, that looks like a fun project. Good luck with it!
Phew! did I answer everybody??
K, I'm off to start some food in the crock-o-love pot :) Bye!
How stinking exciting for you! I love seeing those girlies...ugh. Too fabulous.
Congrats Lo, you deserve it!

Posted by: Carrie on January 9, 2005 08:52 PMYes, lolo, I was very surprised at the eensie teensie size of those minis. They are gems! I see what you mean about them being little jewels. Those little ornate golden frames would be a compliment to them. The web isn't condusive, evoking the charm of these little treasures. I say go for the gold! (miniature gold frames that is) Slide my latest vote over to the other side. ;0) k?
Posted by: liljiffy on January 9, 2005 11:01 PMOh, I hope you do decide to add them to your card gallery(didn't quite know what to call it :> ). I think they would make great cards - maybe even a smaller size than you carry now? Anywhooo, thanks for considering.
