Ok...you guys can you give me your choice of fave frame for these mini watercolors of mine? Do you like the small ornate brass colored frames (see previous post) or the simple very thin black frames? I have to decide tonight :(

I already have two votes for each...:)
Thank you!!!
Lo**
I vote for the fancy frames. I am a simple frame sort of gal too, but I love the surly faces on your latest girls and I like to image them being surly because of being trapped in those frilly frames. :)

Posted by: Lo** on January 5, 2005 08:35 PMI say go for the gold!
I vote for the simple black frame.
It fits better with their little faces.
It's way late for you, but I'm for the simple frames.
I'm also a guy, and I'm cool with you discounting male style opinions by at least 50%!
Posted by: dan on January 5, 2005 11:59 PMI like them both, but lean toward the plain. And, I don't discount male opinions at all, Dan. ;-)
will you be displaying these pouters only at the show, or will they be on sale? And, if not there, when? ;-)
off to bed now (me, that is - certainly not telling you what to do - heh)

fancy frames just to tie it up again
Posted by: Rx8doc on January 6, 2005 04:28 AMNeedless to say, ya know which one I like...sorry, I could not get back here sooner!!
Either way....your paintings are great!!....and ya can't judge a painting by its frame.....or can ya??
Posted by: Edee on January 6, 2005 05:43 AMBrass frames!!! Very ritzy!
Posted by: Deb on January 6, 2005 07:48 AMCan't decide which, I wouldn't like the fancy ones in my house even though I like them, Someone else would prefer the fancy ones in their house, can you offer both?
lol!!! at Dan and Ray :P~
k...I think I've decided to go plain frames. They kinda go with all the other girls (larger) that I took in over the weekend...So they'll all look groovie hanging together. BUT!!! Next month at the Coffee Works Art Show I think I will use the ornate frames ;) The setting there (coffee shop)with those gold warm walls will be perfect for the other fancy frames. (gawd I'm matching the frame to a wall color! aahhhhh!!! I hate that!)
Anyway, thank you all for your imput it helped alot!!!
...and Barb, yes these are going to be for sale at the show this weekend as well.
Posted by: Lori on January 6, 2005 10:04 AMLo - I really like the girlie with the baubles in her hair - the one you are holding.
Could you email me particulars on price? Maybe - just maybe. ;-)
thanks

Posted by: Lori on January 6, 2005 02:43 PMi'm new to your blog, and i live in sacramento, so it's doubly fun to read you. i say the gold ones!
Posted by: lynn on January 6, 2005 05:46 PMI like the ornate frames - it looks like the girls are lurking behind the ornate swirliness. Pretty!
Posted by: Mary on January 6, 2005 06:20 PMI like both types of frames.
I would like to see different colored mat board used to frame your girls in the plain frames.
My two cents.
Could you make an archival print of one or two of those girls, and maybe tweek the colors out to be a bit different in color in photoshop so you can use all of the frames? Just a thought.
