1Mini 2Go

Kitty made that lil' dancing dude up there :) It came from her "Christmas Past" set a few years back if you wanna peek Go HERE. Ya Ya...I know it looks goofy with the white background against the pink of my blog page....but oh well, I still like him :)

Here's how two of my little watercolors look framed up. The only thing I don't like is that some of the watercolor is cut off, and frankly I don't care for frilly ornate frames like this...but for these little ones I think they kinda make them more "jewel-like" What do you guys think?

Changing topics for a sec...
My very favorite Kiehl perfume oil "Exquisite Rain" has been discontinued. WAH! I will keep checking on ebay...but if anyone ever see's any of the "oil" PLEASE let me know? I tried calling Kielh's and they said they have none. I can't believe that!! Then I asked them since it was discontinued...could they tell me the (general) ingredients that went into the fragrance were, so I could try copy it---or come close to it? They said they don't have that information Wha? They don't? Oh well... :(

Have a good day all...

Others' thoughts...

Hi Lori! I think your work is so charming and lovely, they would look good in any frame. In this case, they are strong enough paintings to be able to hold their own in those frames. Sometimes I think frames overpower the artwork, but I think your work can handle it...the girls are so interesting to look at, your eye goes right to the painting.
I really wanted to thank you for the rib recipe you had on LJ a while back. I am a friend of Sheila's, and was reading her journal, and saw your name, and recognized it from ebay, (where I also sell my artwork, sometimes.) anyway, the ribs were delicious, I followed your recipe and it was easy and so yummy!so..."thanks!"

Hi Jani! Painting these minis are a new thing for me...so it was nice hearing your comments about them. Yes, I agree sometimes people pick frames that are really an overkill. (I guess it's personal preference) but still, I always try to go very simple with my frames.

And YAY! For my Rib recipe. They WERE killer weren't they? Glad you tried it.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm???? Lolo, you know that I really admire and enjoy all that you create, but, personally, I think that the frames are "too much" for these little beautiful paintings....frames seem to equal the paintings.......and, the color of the frames............????

Okay okay, I'll keep my opinions to myself....but, taste and style and opionions is what makes the whole world go round and round and round and round and round..............okay, I'll get off......I'm dizzy now!!!

Oops forgot to say Hi CARLA!!!

Ok...maybe not?
Anyway, I thnk I will try that phone number you listed just in case. (((ty))) Someone HAS to have a few little viles of it left?

Hmmmm... We have a comments crisis, Lo?

I'll take a look; it may be a server slowdown...

I like the simple frame better, but I am thinking maybe a simple black frame with some more weight to it with less matting... Their faces are such that the thick frame seems better... I am not an artist, but when I buy something I always consider the frame. BTW love the girl in the background with the blonde hair... If she needs a home, let me know.

hi lolo,

i'm voting for the little simple black frame. funny because my friend kathy and i voted for that same sort of frame for a new little series i'm doing. though we're going to see if we can find that kind of frame in colors. i'll let you know if we have any luck.

i like the minimalist approach on minis!

oh...and thanks for your good thoughts about reed's eye. you were the first person to try my new improved comments system. i'm loving it.
