Happy Friday!
They had a big sale at the local art store yesterday. I bought a few pads of tracing paper, some small plastic bottles, erasers...and a couple greeting cards, nothing super exciting...
I thought I had scored on finding these nice artsy greeting cards... I was looking for one to give to Kip for our anniversary on Saturday. So anyway, I found some Cezanne ones, kinda cool of an artist painting a gal in the back of a boat....and they were only 75 cents from $2.50!
When I got back to my office, and opened one up to write stuff in it -- it said "Hope you have a Happy Retirement" AUGH!! Retirement!? I thought it was blank inside! No wonder it wasn't a fast mover...Geez, now I have three retirement cards and no anniversary card :P
I guess I'll just give Kip one of my art cards...ya that'll thrill him or I was also thinking of printing out one of his pieces of art and mounting it on a card and giving it to him ---Surprise!? Does this look familiar?
I don't know.
k, thats my exciting blog entry for today. What's up with you guys?

Hi, Lo, and Happy Retirement to you! (jk) Too funny! Just cover the inside of the card with something creative and clever, or just glue a plain piece of paper over the you-know-what, (mistake) with a personal note, and add one of those lipstick kisses of yours. Kip'll love it.
Is that a plaster 'SMIlE' plaque? cute!
Happy Anniversary,

I've done that with greeting cards... love the picture on the front, but the inside doesn't work. sometimes it's because I've made a hideous typo and can't bear to send the mess to my intended recipient, but sometimes I buy these intentionally. I just use the art to make my own card, by cutting off the front and then printing my own sentiment for the other half, putting them together...

Yep, I've done both and they've worked fine!
Happy Anniversary (in a few hours <g>)!

Posted by: Lo** on October 23, 2004 01:52 PMHey Lo!!!! Happy Anniversary! Lol!!! Happy Retirement? Well....I guess it could have been worse...at least you didn't wind up with a card that said "congratulations you've been circumcized" or something. See? There's always a silver lining. :)
ah....somewhere....
Wicked night to you.
