Hi Everyone! Well, here's another "Girlie Girl" watercolor painting that I started last night. I'm happy with her so far. But you know? My plan was to draw out kind of a more "edgy girlie girl" kinda a more "risque" one. But alas...cute-sie won out again.

BUT! if you do start seeing my sweet little girls turning slightly naughty, well just consider yourself warned?
So what else am I doing? Well, I have a 7lb. chicken roasting in the oven right now (I was going to crock pot it, but I decided just to cook it up tonight instead) It kinda smells like Thanksgiving in our house now.
Hey speaking of Thanksgiving... I am still thinking up things to do while in Seattle during Thanksgiving. Any more suggestions? day trips, restaurants? places to shop? galleries you can recommend etc?
Kathe told me about a small intimate restaurant (only 5 tables!) called Matt's on the Market" located across from Pikes Place Market. Then Joe mentioned a very cool Gallery called "Roq La Rue." I hope I can check out both! and Joe since you live close by, I hope we can hook up on one of the days I'm there? I know it might be hard with family stuff going on though...
My plan is have my laptop handy (I hope my Brother-In-Law has an extra phone line?) cuz I want to keep a little photo blog journal for you all on what I end up doing for my Thanksgiving week in Seattle.
So aren't you excited to see that!!? I mean just think, you will actually see pictures of me driving our rental car to the local mini-mart for a cube of butter and a box of Triskets? How could you not be riveted to come back daily for that kind of stuff!
Ok...I'm off to transfer more files from this monster computer of mine on to CD's so I can load them up on my laptop....as well as paint a little more on my watercolor.
Have a nice Wednesday evening. Oh and don't forget Survivor is on tomorrow! Common you men pick it up!---don't let the women stomp all over you :)
Nite,
Lo**
G'night, Lo!

Posted by: Lo** on October 13, 2004 08:47 PMHey Lo!
K....Ye olde curiosity shoppe, down by the pier, few streets down from the market. Um...the Space Needle, there is a restaurant inside....if you and Kip get the munchies....ah...I think you have to make reservations. K....The U district is alot like San Fran. Queen Anne neighborhood is a quaint area. Ooooh check out the Fremont area, for a wicked little artsy/hippy shopping experience.
Oh yes....I can't wait to see the cube of butter pics ;)

Posted by: Joe on October 13, 2004 09:00 PMActually, I think this "girlie girl" looks kind of naughty and full of mischief. The look in her eye...those red shiny lips... What is "Girlie girl" thinking?
Look forward to more.

Perhaps she thinks :"Where is that naughty boy.
Can Lori make a match?"
Have a nice day.

Posted by: Valerie on October 14, 2004 07:24 AMHi Lolo,
long lurk, no comment...
I love your new girly girl. I wonder if a few piercings or tatoos might roughen her up a bit?
As far as Seattle goes, my daughter is up there, as well as some other relatives, and I think Thanksgiving is a beautiful time to visit the northwest! I'd recommend three destinations (too many, I'm sure):
A ferry ride over to Bainbridge Island, which is quaint and picturesque and artsy.
If you like funky bookstores, try Elliot Bay Book Co. in Pioneer Square(101 South Main St.) They sell both new and used books, have wonderful creaky staircases, and have a good coffee shop in a cellar lined with used books for browsing while you sip.
Finally, for an industrial-sized art destination, visit Gas Works Park. My sources tell me this is in Wallingford - north of the city center. It's this cool place with all kinds of huge, colorful pipes and gears and things, as well as a fine view of the city.
have fun!
