Happy Thursday all!
Here's a few pieces from one of my many collections. They are in the kitchen window. I just got that nice big aloe vera plant at Trader Joes :) They have the healthiest plants there. Oh! and I tried out this great chicken ---It was in the Frozen Food section called Orange Mandarin Chicken (alot like the Panda Express orange chicken at the Mall).
It's litle nuggets of white chicken meat that you bake first-- then you warm up these packets of orangeeee-gingeree-teriyakieee sauce in the microwave and when the chicken is done you toss it with the chicken and have it on top of some jasmine rice. It was really REALLY good! So if any of you guys have a TJ's grocery store where you live I'd buy some! I think the whole bag (that serves two hungry people is like $4.50?

More later,

Hi Lori,
Nice collection. The Aloe is a very special plant. We had many in our garden in de tropics.I used the inside of the leaves, when the children fell and had some wounds on their knees or hands. It heals perfect.
Hi Annie from Holland! Yes I know Aloes are very special plants. They help with bee stings and burns too :) The only problem is I hate to slice off a piece of the leaf when I need to use it for something like that.
Posted by: Lo** on September 23, 2004 11:47 AMHi Lori,
I understand it is a pity to cut a piece off. We had plenty of them and the leaves were very big, because the plants were in the soil.
Hi Lori,
I'm jealous! My husband and I both grew up in Northern California...and we miss Trader Joe's! They don't have them here in Colorado. They used to have really good frozen fish too. Wish they had an online ordering system!
Posted by: LindaO on September 23, 2004 04:14 PMHey, Shelley tried your ribs over the weekend and they came out great! I'll have to drop by the local TJ's and see about some of the chicken for nights when she's working...
