Stickers/Survivor

I was downtown the other day on my lunch hour...and went into this store and saw a wall of stickers...low and behold who's artwork do I spy? But Jasmine Becket-Griffith!

This lady was posed above the doorway to the store...

See here they are!

Here's a far away shot of more of the stickers... and some sew on patches too. I wanted one of these leather patterned bracelets...but I'm too old for them I'm afraid...

I did buy these rubber finger puppets...(yep, not too old for them! lol!) Geez, they were a bargain at 49 cents each! Don't they look cute all lined up on the frame edge? I think they do. :)

I know people might (are) sick of reality tv shows...but I still really enjoy Survivor and tonight is the premier of the Brand New One! Yeah! So, who else is gonna watch it? I already know Joe is a big fan...but maybe more of you? Lets pick people and get a Survivor pool going-- Yes? No? OH COMMON!

Worked on my "Janice/Skippy" watercolor last night, made clam chowder for dinner, started writting out a list of stuff I've gotta do. I'm getting overwhelmed again :(

So what are you guys all up to? :::Spill!::::

How's the weather? It's still hot here...90's :(

Others' thoughts...

Hi Lo! Cool Stuff! I'm trying to get caught up.....ok, Dig those spikey shoes! My faves are the super pointy basic black.....I saw them all over Paris and had to bring home a pair. Mine are really pointy black with a big buckle, but they have a very low spikey heel. I didn't think I'd last long in the high ones! But I love the way they look :)
That Painting you're working on is so great...WOW! What a cool idea to get a portrait in you're girly girl style! Ahhh I want one!
I love that store! I think I've been there a long time ago....I'll have to go back....those stickers are adorable. Is that over by the Capitol? I remember those little finger puppets from when I was a kid :) yea, I need to go to that store.

hey - I've been there (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v457/rasehall2/2ShowU/Capitol.jpg) oh, so very, very looooonnnngggg ago - back before you were even a toddler, I'll bet - 1968. Of course, I was just a wee lass of 18 at the time, myself. ;-))

Wish I could remember what street my uncle lived on - see if you are anywhere close by????

have a great Thursday - I have a late going in time today - not until 11 - then working straight through until 5. Then it is off for the weekend!

oh - and it is C.O.L.D.!!!! here - right around 25 degrees, but the sun is coming up and it should warm up to at least the high 40's today. Yay, us!

Hi Lo miss me? :) Your Janice painting is looking so good it's so unique for a portrait! I still can't believe you sold your self portrait girlie girl but I'm happy it went to someone I know ;)

I haven't seen Jasmine's stickers where I've gone, I should go to Spencer's and check if they are there. Thanks for showing those pics they look so cool and I feel so proud! :D

Love your monsters my favorite is the yellow with eyes rolled back like Leanne's daughter's in one recent pic. So does Kip have toys like you? I'm guessing yes from what I've seen of his art lol! Do you guys set dates to play together? *wink*

What am I up to hmmm ugh too much to think about. Like you I just got myself overwhelmed! However I wonder if you know I'm moving to Arkansas next year? *lips quivering* How do fuchsias, wisteria and hydrangeas do in the snow do you know, Lo? (lol pretty poetic eh?)

Happy Thursday one more day before TGIF!

Oh, I love those finger puppets!!
I remember getting those from the candy machines they use to have at the grocery store.
They were in the big "expensive" machines...
the 25 cents one. LOL!!

Have a good day!

Erikie!!! Why are you moving??

Posted by: Lo on September 16, 2004 11:52 AM

:WAH: well I guess Scott has been thinking about it for a year now but he didn't tell me until last weekend. His father is thinking of retiring soon and has nobody he can trust to run the business. He has a data center and a medical transcription business, etc. Besides that, we pretty much figured any house we can afford in California we wouldn't necessarily love because everything is overly priced here! So maybe we'll be closer to a dream house in Noth-West Arkansas. It's a reitrement area with 7 lakes and 5 golf courses woohoo there goes my social life! LOL!
