So are the checkered swim trunks on that guy for real?

Hey all! sorry I didn't pop in here sooner but I've been sick :( I caught a barf bug last night and was pretty much ...well sick. I tried to go into work...showered, got dressed, makeup the whole routine, but it wasn't to be. I went back to bed and slept til 3pm :( I still have a raging headache, a slight fever, and my ribs hurt from barkin' so much (did I hear an awwww?...ty :)
I wanted to show Annie from MI. this picture since I promised...
Have a nice night all, I don't have much to say except I wish my head would stop throbbing. :P

Posted by Lori at September 1, 2004 05:48 PMSorry to hear your not well. Poopoodanareosez!
As far as the shorts go on the maniquin people...I mean posers. I think the guy is wearing momma's apron or has a mini-skirt fetish or he's wearing the worlds shortest kilt or maybe a picnic table cloth. That's all... :0)Oh, maybe not...i like the tile too.
Posted by: liljiffy on September 1, 2004 08:25 PMI hope you are feeling well sooner than later!! Advil does wonders for my headaches.
The guy in the checkered shorts, first of all they look like a really tight skirt and second of all, I swear that is Bob Hope in his younger years, No???
Awwww I'm sorry you're sick Lolo (((hugs))) Get better ok, don't worry about us.
I think someone painted the checks on those trunks.
Posted by: erikie parikie on September 1, 2004 10:41 PMThank you very, very much. I love this picture.

All the best.

Yup, my vote is for Bob Hope too and he definitely would wear "those" shorts.

Hey there Lo! You're feeling a little better today? Good! I made some soup yesterday....I could send it? Of course....you wouldn't get it...till...ah...prolly Monday...or Tuesday...and by then you should be feeling really good. So when you have the soup....look out world!
Or..it could be the other way around....6 day old soup......not refridgerated. You'd might get the barfys again. Then it would really be...Look out world!

Posted by: Joe on September 2, 2004 05:52 PMGlad you're feeling a bit better now, Lolo! (What's with the chick in the chair, btw? Jeez, she's got worst posture than me!)
Posted by: Stefani on September 2, 2004 06:51 PMOk...Yes...That is a young Bob Hope Jenny!!! lol
and I totally agree LilJif...a pinic tablecloth or some such no manly swim trunks.
Your Welcome Edee, you should see what Dan does for me behind the scenes (daily) for me to keep my blog "clean." I don't know what I would do without him :) So I'm glad it worked out that you can post now.
Teresa, (et all) Besides cleaning the house, and painting I really want to try a new recipe over the weekend. So any suggestions? I'm totally open :)
Thank you for the soup Joe!! What a sweetheart :) But ya...I'd prolly get sick all over again unless it was clear chicken broth freeze dried for astronauts or backpack hiker types. I think your soup prolly would include sausage Egh? and that doesn't sound too yummie at the moment :P But thks anyway :)
Hi Stefani...well...I really didn't see the bad posture in the gal in the lounge chair but I did notice the fakey hips on the gal standing...those can't be real? can they? If they are wahhhhh! I want them.
Posted by: Lolo on September 2, 2004 08:06 PMHi Lolo and Everyone: Although I hate to admit how old I am, I know what the plaid thing is the guy is wearing at the pool. It's called a "beach wrap" and it was popular during the 1950's, usually made of terry cloth, like a little skirt that snapped on the side. OK, so how ugly was that? Very ugly! I remember my dad got one for Christmas one year and refused to wear it. Well, at least he was a cool 1950's dad!
Lolo I haven't checked in for a few days and am glad you asked what everyone would take with them in an emergency. That's one of my favorite topics coming from a tornado and snow state, and being the child of a dad who worked for Civil Defense during the Atomic age (the Cold War version of Homeland Security). It always starts an interesting conversation, doesn't it? BTW does everyone get that little Sunday magazine in their Sunday newspapers? Last week they had an article about just that topic, what do take and where to go in an emergency. I was disappointed BIG TIME B-I-G * T-I-M-E when they said shelters were not permitted to allow pets! My husband calmed me down and said people could probably keep pets outside in their cars and check on them all the time. However, I'm the owner of two expensive emergency pet back-packs for my cats, you know the kind with the mesh breathing window and little fancy pockets for treats and food, so where I go, de pets go no matter what, strapped right to the old bod - where de bod goes, they go. My pets are my children. I felt sorry for all those people evacuating in Florida, just getting home, and then having to do it all over again, gawd.
Bye, boy did I yap today,
Annie from Mich
Hi Annie ---yap is good in here. Well, I've heard of a beach wrap...but not for guys. TY for that! lol!
I've seen those fancy pet carriers. I saw them at a cat show this past spring, they were pretty cool. I looked on ebay to buy a couple of them since our cats fight to be put in their hard plastic carriers when the go to the vet, this just looked so much easier. Plus they were soft and folded up small.
Posted by: Lolo on September 3, 2004 08:59 AMlol I bet that beach wrap for men would be real hip these days since it's cool to be gay now!
Glad you are feeling better Lo - continued recovery please xox
