Well, I finished this commission (last night at midnight) for a really nice guy (Hi Ken!) that bought my "Not Much Green" from the artshow I had in Feb. He wanted it in the similiar style...so hopefully he will like this one too! I'll meet him on my lunch hour and show him.
This is a shot of it before I added the beads to it...yes...beads... :)

Framed...

It's gonna be hot today...low 100's, so I decided to make something in Mrs. Spanky Pot today so I wouldn't heat up the house more cooking dinner. Pork Loins...(How did your mystery meat come out the other day Erikie?) lol!
Here's a little story---it's sounds like something I would do.
"My sister was flying through my town the other day with her new fiance. I hadn't seen her in a year or so and she asked me to make "italian beef" in the crockpot. She loves the stuff and it was her fiance's favorite. I put all the ingredients in before work and wouldn't see it again until i picked up my sis at the airport. i have been cooking for a long time, so i made sure that the lid was on snuggly and that the pot was plugged in. i made sure i didn't forget anything. before i went to work i even double checked to see if the crock pot was warm...everything was fine. i was so excited when i saw my sis and her soon to be husband...i couldn't wait to get home to the aromas of slow cooked beef and spices..plus they were starving to death and couldn't wait. when i opened the door to the house...immediately i new i had failed. no smell. no lovely aroma of fresh basil and oregano. i ran to the kitchen and the crockpot was hot, the light was on, but the removeable dish insert was sitting nice as you please on the counter next to the crock heating element...lid was secure...all ingredients waiting to be cooked. we had chinese."
Ok...
Happy whatever day it is today! (I'm tired) :(

Lo**

Posted by: teresa on August 11, 2004 08:48 AMWow lucky Ken! That's just beautiful Lolo! You really spoil your clients (me including) with your quality work and delivery- beautifully framed!
You're tired too? So it must be the weather taking all my energy! LOL the mystery meat turned out to be some nice healthy skinless boneless chicken breasts that melted in our mouths! :) But doesn't that Italian beef sound good??? Hmm I'll have to see what sort of beef I have. =)
I love that story, reminds me of myself yesterday. I was to be gone all day and night so I thought it was a perfect time to defrag my drives. All windows set up, the screensaver turned off. But of course I left without activating it >,< ohh!
Ok take it easy today Lo happy Wednesday! xox
Posted by: erikie on August 11, 2004 09:45 AMi just wanted to tell you that i got my girlie girl cards and they are spectacular! thanks Lori!
i can't wait to frame and hang them, yes i am going to be greedy and keep them all for myself, lol. your piece "not much green" is really beautiful. your patterns really amaze me, you really inspire me. i love your story about the italian beef, the missing aroma reminded me of that movie "the christmas story" when the hounds got the turkey and the lovely aroma was still hanging in the house. they ate chinese too that night, lol.
ciao,
becki
