A Saturday mish-mash

Morning All,
I'm going to be finishing up this commission piece (below) this weekend and starting on another. I also have another watercolor going (I'll show you a progress pic soon) that I might be entering into the W.A.S.H. Art Show at the end of the month.

I framed Erikies Plein Air oil painting I traded her for...and I think it looks pretty snazzy up on my studio wall huh? I have to lower it a little though... Like it Erikie? (FYI: It's the bottom right landscape one)

I picked up my painting and Kip's two paintings (finally) that were in the Art show in Fair Oaks this past month. While I was there I snapped a few pictures of this place next door that has a bunch of kinetic sculptures....aren't they neat? It's kinda hard to really see what they look like...ummm...now that I see my pictures it looks like a big tangled mess lol!

Then I wanted to show you this fun Girlie Girl tape that Annie from Michigan sent to me! TY again:)---I don't wanna use up any of it though!!! :P

And here's my funky wooden box purse that I decided to take to the Bistro when we had dinner there on Wed. Kip said it looked like a painters palette box or something...Yes, I got numerous comments on it. I like the fakey gold coins that are glued to it :)

I bought a couple pieces of art art the current show that's at the Coffee Works this month. It's artwork by Adults with Disabilities. I should go by a take a couple pics of the two pieces I bought, since the show will be up until Sept. 2 and I'd like to show you guys.

Anyway, I got a small one ($15.00) and a kinda big one ($60.00) the big one I will take down to work, because it's colorful and cheery. The smaller one is made up of 4 postcard type panels of plexiglass that have been painted on the backside...and ...well, you have to just see it...it's nice too :)

When I was at Trader Joes Thursday night I bought these two large Begonias for only $3.99 each! Then on Friday At Target I bought the two smaller ferns. I have this plastic grey tub (that looks like metal) that I'm going to poke holes in the bottom of (drainage) and plant the begon's and ferns in it. :)

Kip and I are taking off soon to go to Borders Books, the Art Supply store and a few other places--- so I need to pop off now.

I leave you with a few pictures of my back patio garden :)

Have a great Saturday all!

Others' thoughts...

I love - that framing job is very elegant Lolo :) And you have a nice gallery going there too. Who did the fem face at the bottom?

Nobody does those heart paintings like you, that is looking so good lucky client! When are you going to paint your other wooden purse? You prolly have to cover the images on there first huh.

Ah cheery pics are good to have can't wait to see your purchase ;)

Happy weekend to you and Kip! xox

Glad you like the frame job on your Erikie. And the lady face (next to yours) is by Beth Duri. I wish she was still painting...I haven't seen anything from her in a couple years now. She decided to stop doing art to spend more time with her little boy.

I hope you are having a better day that yesterday...Don't let (her tone) get to you ok? ;)

Hehe thanks Lo. Parents usually know those buttons too well xox

Today we're having server problems in Arkansas. I think a car hit an electric power whachamacallits. We're waiting for the generator to kick in.

LOL yeah I had to look close at the pic to see if you painted the box purse! I love that one with the treasure chest :) Hey, your garden always looks so fresh! Mine is all uniformly brown-tipped since they cut the limbs off trees. I lost what little shade I had. But now I can all the birds flying through the trees.

OH! What beautiful pictures!! And I LOVE that tape!! How fun!! Girlie tape, I have to find some of that stuff! Cute!

I love your arrangement of paintings! I have to get my study finished up and hang all of my lovely paintings up! My girlie will surely be the perfect splash of color in here!!
