Sat. News...

Good Saturday to you all :)
Yesterday I went to lunch with friends at a popular restaurant here in town, (Flat Tanner accompanied me) Jamies Bar and Grille. He had a nice visit with the patrons...and even sweet talked his way to the back of the bar to help Christy. :)

I will be going to the store soon for the stuff for those Hot & Smoky Baked Beans that I'm making for tomorrows bbq, but in the meantime, I found the exact recipe online! So here it is if you want to get the ingredients and instructions now. You know? I'm not sure I will be showing you step by step pics of how to make this since all it really entails is dumping everything in a bowl and stirring :)

Hey! Other cool news...I got a call from my friend Michele Swanberg, and she wants me to bring by more of my art cards to sell in her shop! AND, she gave my one of my cards to a greeting card rep that really loved them too (and handles a bunch of greeting card lines!) :) So I will be following up on that soon!

Oh! Here's our yellow haired girlie girl LilJif (Jennifer) Aint she cute? Glad you had fun playing with the ilustmaker thing! Boring Party Trivia: Did you know that "Jiffy" is an actual unit of time for 1/100th of a second?

To answer Sheila's question last week (sorry) That Vyco board cover you can buy at art stores, it is pale green (or grey) on one side and cream on the other. (they make a translucent one now for light tables!) It's also called Borco... Here's what to look for in the store.
----------------------------------------------

I will be painting most the day, then going to the store like I said for the bean stuff... AND doing some yard work. So, I hope you all have a great Saturday, and I'll talk with you all later.

Hi Lori, You seem to have the most interesting life and have a wonderful way of sharing some of the highlights that make it enjoyable to read. Where did you find the sign about California? Also, have to admit I was clueless on your "Big Fish Chat Live" event - then realized it was about the movie which I did see - mainly because of Ewan McGregor who was soooo good in "Moulin Rouge." But "Big Fish" was unlike any other movie I have seen - a very sad but very uplifting ending at the same time - what a paradox!

Sounds like a busy and fun weekend! Thanks again for sharing the illustmaker link, as you know it's my new friend :) I love your clown one hahahahaha!!!!

Thanks for the trivia...I wonder how it relates to jiffypop, remember? But I think it took 5 minutes to pop their popcorn.

Happy arting too!

Congrats on the art cards!!!

It's really cool to see Flat Tanner getting around. So, are you getting weird looks yet? lol

Hey Lolo: You lucky duckie!!!! I've been a greeting card "wannabe" for a l-o-n-g time now. Good luck with the greeting card rep - I just know I'll see you on the greeting card shelves one day! The closest I got was a letter back from a greeting card rep that said "send us more of your animals (cards)." Foolish me, I didn't respond right away, and by the time I got back to them much later, they weren't interested any more. Lesson learned... if they give you an opening, jump in right away! I know you will!

(P.S. That Vyco stuff is great, isn't it? You can cut it and shape it for any desk and mine has lasted about 100 years now.)

Peace,
annie from michigan
