Backordered til When?

Yesterday I called Pottery Barn to find out about the corner section for my new computer furniture....it’s been back ordered and I won’t be getting it until April 28th. Stupid popular Bedford Modular computer furniture.

Anyway, my studio is all ripped apart, so I can’t really start on any new paintings right now. Since I’m not painting I seem to be cooking a lot. Last night I made clam chowder. It came out great, except for I burned the top of my mouth pretty bad with my first slurp, and Kip ate too much of it and was in agony all night. :(

Ok, it’s still rainy and windy outside, my office is freezing, my typing finger is frozen, my foot heater is on full blast ----my day has begun. More later when I have something interesting to say.
Ok Bye,
Lori

Others' thoughts...

The agony amd the ecstassy :( Wha? We don't get to watch? :) Glad it was successful ;) I never know what to do with clams, last I tried to cook them they were too sishy tasting even for me :| But I love New England clam chowder!

Hope your day is good so far and your mouth healed!

Clam chowder? Pictures! Yeah!!!!

It's nasty outside here to. My typing fingers and typing toes were frozen earlier.

Now you know how I type so fast.

Clam chowder is great cold weather food!

...and we're on a break between storms; it seems yours is going to visit us Wednesday.

Yummeee Lori!....You really now how to live well. This weather has been such poo poo weather. Perfect for clam chowder making. Me wanna come and live in your house. Do you make pea soup too? Tee hee hee...LOL!

Joe and Erika's version of your chick recipe looked fab. I couldn't use Joe's blog to tell him so,(it wouldn't let me post?) So joe, if you happen to read this, you did a fab job!

Thanks, Lori, for being so user friendly.

I only wished that I known of your chicky recipe for this past christmas dinner. I bought some high end,(so I thought) pre-made chicky cordonblues, and I have to say, that it was really the worst xmas meal I can recall ever having. Cardbord would have tasted better. I can't wait to cook 'em the right way, like you do.

Thanks, and thank yer Momma 2 >^..^<

Jennifer,
Pea soup? Haven't made that in ages. My girlfriend used to make a killer split pea. Joe's Journal wouldn't let you post? huh...try again later maybe?

Lori, Whenever I burn my tongue or top of my mouth I sprinkle a generous amount of sugar on my tongue, pressit against the top of my mouth and just let it melt slowly. One time I'd burned my tongue repeatedly and couldn't taste a darn thing. my grandmother told me this and I just about ate my hat when it worked. Old wives tale? I'll let you decide...
Hope it works for ya!

"...I just about ate my hat" Jenny, that line made my day. :)

My mouth is a lot better now, but next time I'll try the sugar thing. Thank you.
