oops

Things went poorly last night with my attempt to add a new page to our website to advertise the new art cards. My wireless mouse was spazy, I cleaned it but it didn’t help...very frustrating. Then messing around trying to find a tool box in Fusion7 (the software I use, which I still don't know how to use properly) I clicked on an area that I hadn’t seen before and after I did it, I lost everything that page. :::oops:::

The only thing left showing was my background color and a master border. I didn’t freak out immediately, because I just thought it was something that I could just reset--ya know a toggle type setting? But then I checked out a few of my other pages and they were blank as well. Then I clicked away all over my site trying to fix whatever I did and made a BIG mess out of it.

After awhile I just decided to pull out a backup CD and reload my site. The last time I saved it was about two weeks ago. I haven’t added too much recently, so I knew that would be my best bet. After an hour of going through all my CD’s I couldn’t find a current backup for it. I KNOW I saved it, but it wasn’t on any of the disks. I went to bed depressed.

This morning I found the CD in my stupid backpack (grrrrrr) I reloaded my site so I’m a little happier now. I’ll have to add some updates that were lost, but all is ok. phew. What a wasted night though, and tonight we have a Kings game to go to so I won’t be able to get the “Card” page up til’ this weekend. Ok, that was a very boring post, sorry.

It’s Friday!!!

Others' thoughts...

Oh the wonderful hair pulling adventures of building a web site, you gatta love it. That's the only way I learn my way around the beast. Your cards look great btw.

Lori, if your wireless mouse keeps spazzing out- you may want to check the batteries.
Just a thought.
Take it easy, it IS Friday after all!

Thanks Naomi, ya, I need to read the Fusion Manual a bit instead of just clicking away helter skelter!

...and Jenny, I did changed the battery. I think what's happening is that my keyboard gets in the way of the "infa-red thingie" and so it doesn't get a good signal? ---you know, tech talk...:)
Yes! it IS Friday!

that was a bit boring, but no worse than me talking about sinus issues. Glad you found the back up CD.
